Many moms to-be or new moms wonder: how do I love my post baby body?
As a new parent, many exciting things are going on. Maybe taking care of our bodies and getting back into our pre-pregnancy shape isn’t happening very easily.
What are some common issues?
There are a number of ways to deal with stretch marks, but the most important is to let go of the idea of getting rid of them immediately. First it’s important to make peace with the fact that they won’t go away that quickly.
As with many things, it’s important to have a lot of patience for the skin to slowly go back to normal (as “normal” as it can get). It’s helpful to remember that our bodies are always changing, and eventually, step by step, it will change back into something more beautiful if we give it the time.
Extra body weight
It’s good to offer ourselves a realistic time period and diet that won’t additionally exhaust us, but will help us embrace our new baby that’s come into our lives, while balancing work, family, or anything else going on. Drastic changes won’t happen overnight and if we plan a workout program or new regime for our post-baby body, that’s fine! It’s always important to remind ourselves to take it easy, though.
Not seeing results as quickly as we expected
Not seeing results can frustrate. Many of us want instant satisfaction for all the work we put into anything we do, especially when it comes to weight loss and seeing the results as soon as we can! Unfortunately, many factors come into play here and it’s not always all in our control. The key is to let go sometimes and enjoy the process.
What to do while waiting for your body to react to changes?
Think positive thoughts.
Be grateful for our child.
Buy comfortable clothes.
Embrace our shape.
Appreciate your assets.
Give ourselves the pampering we deserve, whether it date night with our partner, or just a quick shopping online!
